A humble hot dog paired with four generations of dedication is Walter’s recipe for success

Could Walter Warrington ever have envisioned that his humble hot dogs, split and griddled and served from a charming pagoda-style building, would one day be served to celebrities, sold in retail stores and obsessed over by generations of fans? From his start in 1919 with a modest spot on Boston Post Road, Warrington, and eventually three generations of his family built Walter’s Hot Dogs into a brand recognizable far beyond its Mamaroneck roots. Few Westchester businesses can claim more than a century of continuous operation, and Walter’s, whose core product still remains a hot dog, has been a mainstay for 103 years, with the latest generation of Warringtons at the helm.
