White Plains St. Patrick’s Day Parade is back in step after pandemic absence

Westchester Journal News, Heather Clark, February 2, 2022

The White Plains St. Patrick’s Day Parade will return to the city in 2022.

Traditionally held on the second Saturday in March, the event was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The last parade was held in 2019. This year’s parade will begin at noon on March 12.

“It’s been very difficult to have two years with no parade in White Plains – and everywhere – but we are very optimistic that this year we’re coming back,” John Martin, chairman of the White Plains St. Patrick’s Day Parade, said. “We’ve been working very hard on this for the last few months. I think we’re going to be a nice parade.”

The White Plains parade will take place on Mamaroneck Avenue to Main Street and then past Town Hall.
