How do you practice self-care?
HOT TOPICS
Spring Time Renewal!
March Into Self-Care, a wellness campaign sponsored by White Plains Hospital, kicks off tomorrow! This initiative is dedicated to helping you prioritize your well-being through various self-care practices.
Self-care is all about engaging in activities that help you feel good, both physically and mentally. It can help reduce stress, enhance your health, and boost your energy levels. Because it looks different for everyone, self-care allows you to choose what works best for you, making it unique and personal. This year, we’re also highlighting more food options because nourishing your body means nourishing your well-being.
From March 1st to March 31st we will feature local businesses that offer services to help you relax, rejuvenate, and nourish your body and mind, as well as share health & wellness tips from White Plains Hospital.

Advocating for Downtowns…Statewide!
Did you know? One of the ways we support our local business community is through advocacy, whether that’s helping a local business connect with City Hall on a small permitting issue or elevating larger thematic concerns in the sphere of public policy.
This week our Executive Director, Jennifer Furioli, joined dozens of other downtown organizations from across the State of New York in Albany to meet with legislators and their staff on shared topics of importance to downtowns and the critical role that downtowns and their businesses play in the fabric of a community. The group met with over 50 different legislators and their staff in a whirlwind of educational and productive meetings.
Lights, Camera, Action!
You may have experienced a little extra traffic on Wednesday, or found the street blocked off with camera crews about on Friday. That’s because downtown White Plains transformed into a bit of Hollywood this week, with the apparent filming of a Stephen Spielberg film. Get the whole skinny at this LoHud article!
