Eli Khazzam

Eli Khazzam is an economic development leader with over 30 years of experience in the public and nonprofit sectors, focused on building strong, vibrant communities. Prior to joining the White Plains Business Improvement District, he served as Vice President of Economic Development at the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation, and held key roles with the City of Hallandale Beach, Florida, and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. He has led a wide range of initiatives, including business support, neighborhood revitalization, infrastructure, housing, renewable energy, tourism, and public arts. He also has extensive experience in public policy and research to advance community and economic development. Eli holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service, and has a strong interest in economics, history, and writing.

Brian Reyes

Brian Reyes has been with the White Plains BID for over a year and is now the Events and Marketing Manager. In this role, he will continue to produce the organization’s signature events and create impactful marketing initiatives, including Rock The Block, OktoberFest, and The Holiday Market, to name a few. Brian obtained his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Mercy University. Before joining the White Plains BID, he gained valuable experience in the commercial real estate industry, specifically managing shopping centers with Pacific Retail. During his time at Pacific Retail, Brian actively contributed to developing signature events and significantly expanded their digital platforms.

Born and raised in White Plains, Brian maintains strong ties to his hometown and continues to reside there. Throughout his upbringing, he had the opportunity to work in various local brick-and-mortar businesses, further enhancing his understanding of the community. When not immersed in his professional pursuits, Brian enjoys traveling, spending quality time with his dog, Hercules, attending live concerts, and watching movies.

Edrei Ramirez

Edrei Ramirez is a 2023 graduate of Iona University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Before this role, Edrei gained valuable experience as a Social Media and Project Intern with the White Plains BID, where she played a role in enhancing the district’s digital presence and managing various projects.

Having grown up in White Plains, Edrei has an in-depth understanding of Downtown White Plains and is passionate about fostering community engagement and promoting local events. Outside work, Edrei enjoys family movie nights, visiting cozy cafes, listening to podcasts, and capturing life’s moments through photos and videos.

Maya Fetic

Maya is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Community Social Services and a Diploma in Social Service Work at the University of Guelph-Humber. She also holds a Diploma in Child and Youth Work from Niagara College. Since moving to White Plains two years ago from Niagara Falls, Canada, Maya has become an integral part of the downtown community through her role at the BID and working at a local restaurant. This dual involvement has given her a deep understanding of the area, its businesses, and the people who make up the vibrant White Plains community.

Maya is committed to supporting the BID’s mission of enhancing the economic, social, and cultural landscape of the White Plains Central Business District. She is excited to apply her knowledge and experience to benefit local businesses and the community. When she’s not working, Maya enjoys traveling and backpacking through various countries, spending quality time with her dogs Daisy and Lila, exploring new restaurants, and engaging in a range of sports and fitness activities.
