GHP Office Realty has sold its 7-11 S. Broadway property in downtown White Plains for $9.6 million.

Purchase College and WPBID Collaborate on Art in Vacant Spaces Project

For the third year in a row, Purchase College, SUNY’s School of the Arts has collaborated with the White Plains BID (Business Improvement District) to exhibit Art in Vacant Spaces, an innovative art project in empty storefronts in downtown White Plains.

Now Accepting Vendor Applications for New Year's Eve Spectacular 2017

The City of White Plains Recreation & Parks Department is now accepting applications from Vendors to sell Novelty Dry Good Items at the City’s New Year’s Eve Spectacular.  This free New Year’s Eve Celebration will begin at 10:00 p.m. on Main Street and includes DJ music, live band, ball drop and fireworks.

Vendor applications are available at the Recreation & Parks Administration Office, 85 Gedney Way, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.

A limited number of permits will be issued upon receipt of a completed application and applicable permit fee.

Birch Collective, a new gastropub with a Québécois twist, officially opened its doors on Mamaroneck Avenue Friday, dishing out festive, flavorful and cheekily-titled creations that are sure to turn heads.

Mamaroneck Avenue Road Resurfacing (Waller Avenue to Bloomingdale Road)

The Department of Public Works (DPW) has awarded a contract to PCI Industries, Inc. for the above captioned work.


Preparation work for the milling and paving, consisting of curb work, casting replacement and minor sidewalk upgrades, will begin on or about Monday, August 7. Once the preparation work is complete the road surface will be milled (removing the existing damaged road surface) and a new final top course of asphaltic concrete pavement will be placed. Barring unforeseen circumstances, work is expected to be completed in approximately four weeks.
