White Plains Honors Veterans at Annual Veterans Day Ceremony

White Plains, NY – November 7, 2019.   The City of White Plains annual Veterans Day Ceremony will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 on the front steps of City Hall, 255 Main Street, at 10:30 a.m.

The event is organized each year by the Mayor’s Veterans Committee and will feature keynote speaker Walter J. Brady, a Vietnam Veteran.  This year, the Mayor’s Veterans Committee, is recruiting Active Duty and Retired Veterans to join the city’s advisory board. This group helps plan and organize Veteran events and activities in White Plains.

Mayor Roach thanks the Mayor’s Veterans Committee for their work on behalf of the veterans.  All residents and visitors are invited to come pay tribute to our veterans who have sacrificed so greatly. Light refreshments and beverages will be served inside City Hall following the ceremony, compliments of the White Plains Veterans Committee.

As an additional tribute to our Veterans, past and present, the City of White Plains has created an assemblage of American Flags along Main Street.  Flags representing each branch of The Armed Forces will be displayed at City Hall as well.
