Say 'Oui' to poutine and cocktails at new Birch Collective

O, Canada! With its hearty fare and sunny hospitality, it's a mystery as to why French-Canadian cuisine has yet to take over the world.

But it may soon dominate White Plains.

Birch Collective, a new gastropub with a Québécois twist, officially opened its doors on Mamaroneck Avenue Friday, dishing out festive, flavorful and cheekily-titled creations that are sure to turn heads.

"Montreal has been known for many years as a destination for gastronomy," said Pierluc Dupont, who along with his partner Matthew Gagnon Guastaferri, has spearheaded the new dining space. "So what we're doing is we're just trying to mix American cuisine with that Montreal, Québécois flair and bring it to White Plains."
