May 28: Memorial Day Parade 2018



Church Street between Main Street and Martine Avenue



The parade will proceed to the Rural Cemetery on North Broadway and will be immediately followed by memorial services and honors at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at the cemetery. The public is invited to support and remember our veterans by viewing the parade and attending the services at the Rural Cemetery.

The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is Edward Dunphy, Vietnam, and US Army Veteran. The Ceremony Honoree is Barney Mayrsohn, WWII and US Army Veteran. The Deceased Honoree is Joe Davis WWII, US Airforce Veteran, and former White Plains Firefighter. The City of White Plains has been selected to host active duty service men and women visiting New York City celebrating Fleet week. Additional parade marching groups include: White Plains Veteran Posts, WP Boy and Girl Scout troops, WPHS Marching Band, churches, schools and community organizations.
