Mamaroneck Avenue Road Resurfacing (Waller Avenue to Bloomingdale Road)

The Department of Public Works (DPW) has awarded a contract to PCI Industries, Inc. for the above captioned work.

 

Preparation work for the milling and paving, consisting of curb work, casting replacement and minor sidewalk upgrades, will begin on or about Monday, August 7. Once the preparation work is complete the road surface will be milled (removing the existing damaged road surface) and a new final top course of asphaltic concrete pavement will be placed. Barring unforeseen circumstances, work is expected to be completed in approximately four weeks.

 

The milling and paving shall be performed approximately between the hours of 7 am and 4:30 pm. The street will remain open to vehicular traffic. Travel lanes will be maintained utilizing lane restrictions, appropriate signage, flag personnel and police officers. Access for businesses, residents, deliveries, refuse & recycling, buses, and emergency vehicles will still be provided. Suspension of on street parking will be necessary at times. Meter bags, restricting parking, will be placed accordingly.

 

City DPW personnel will be on site to ensure the satisfactory performance of the contract. Although we will make every effort to expedite this work, please bear in mind that this is weather sensitive.
